Why does With The Shepherd exist?

With The Shepherd is making a way for all believers to be healthy, flourishing disciples that make disciples. We want to see every church-goer enjoying
a vibrant relationship with Jesus - rooted in truth and expressed in worship.

We do this through:
strategic coaching,
personalized retreats you can do from anywhere,
at-your-own-pace workbooks,
and the community blog.

______

While planning a spiritual retreat of her own, Emilee searched for hours for a resource that could structure her time in a grace-filled, yet intentional way. She wanted to grow in knowledge of God and friendship with God. She wanted to simply be and enjoy, but also leave with practical action steps to implement healthier spiritual rhythms on the other side. She couldn't find that resource, so she decided to use her Go + Tell Gals coaching licensing and create it herself!

We aren't here to reinvent the wheel.

We are here to hold up your arms so that you can keep going —
truly, deeply, and from the heart of Christ.

In person retreats coming soon!

About Emilee

fellow disciple.

founder. coach. writer.

Emilee is a graphic designer by day,
podcast host by night, and is
24/7 obsessed with the children of God living actually abundant lives. She likes to demystify what this looks like everyday on Instagram, through 1:1 discipleship in her local context, and with every writing tool at her disposal!

Emilee and her husband, Zach, met at camp as kids. They love hosting game nights, sleeping in on Saturday, and hanging out with their dog, Usher.

What keeps Emilee up at night is the health of the bride of Christ, the espresso she had too late in the afternoon, and that awkward thing she said 5 years ago.

She knows what it’s like to try to walk the narrow path in your own strength, and as a licensed Go + Tell Gal coach she is on mission to
see every disciple living from the heart of Christ,
with truth and belly laughter;
with rhythms and freedom;
with grace and dust at their feet.

What We Believe

The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

*that is, the true Christian church of all times
and all places

Doctrine of God

We believe in one God eternally existing as one essence and three distinct persons: God the Father,
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit,
each of whom is fully God, yet
there is one God.

Doctrine of Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Doctrine of Revelation

God has made Himself known to the world in Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, and creation.

Doctrine of The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ sent into the world to shine forth the glory of God.

Doctrine of New Creation

We believe that Jesus Christ is returning to the world in the future to judge the living and the dead.

Doctrine of Creation + Providence

We believe that God created the world from nothing and governs all things at all times in all places.

Doctrine of Humanity

We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God and possesses intrinsic dignity and worth.

Doctrine of Sin

We believe that sin has fractured all things, leaving the world in desperate need of salvation.

Doctrine of The Bible

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are God’s revelation of Himself to mankind. They were written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, with the result that Scripture is God’s Word - entirely true and without error in the original writings. They are the supreme and final authority for Christian beliefs and living.
